I drew this up for a friend of mine, can someone else double-check and make sure it looks correct?

Seems good to me. Just need to ground the right lug on the volume pot. Also, with push/pulls, the best place for ground connections is usually the lug coming off the case at the top of the switch, which is already indicated on your graphics. Could also show a ground wire heading off to connect to the string bridge.

Thanks for the feedback, see updated drawing. If one of the admins wants to move this to the Guitar Schematics subforum, that's cool with me.

sbaalto- For reasons of continuity and history, we don't generally move threads/posts, unless something is posted in the wrong spot. This thread is germane, it's a wiring question. So it should stay here. The final diagram, however, you should repost in the General Schematics section. You can link back to this thread, as a reference if someone wants to read the original discussions. We have any number of diagrams posted in Schematics which refer back to the original discussion thread of the idea. So, just start a new thread in General Schematics. Your diagram is pretty good, but the size of the wiring to the 5-way switch is too small to easily follow. Just a suggestion, but you might include an inset showing a blow-up of the 5-way wiring. This would more clearly show the jumper between the poles and the tone pot wiring, which are difficult to decipher on the existing diagram. As an aside, on a HSS Strat, I would want the bridge HB to get the tone control instead of the middle pickup. But maybe that's just me. . .

Good suggestions, I'll make an update. Once folks here agree, I'll post a new one on the schematics sub and link back to this guy so people can watch the evolution.

OK Version 3.0 showing a larger switch and giving an option for bridge or mid tone, also separated the tone caps on the 2 tone pots.

Much clearer now, looks all correct, too. Feel free to repost it.

Will do. Of course, now I want to build one with this scheme. I really liked the idea to tie the 2nd tone to the bridge!

That's one of the oldest Strat mods there is, going back to the days when guys were filing notches in their three-way switches. Apart from the benefit with a HSS set-up, even with a SSS Strat, having the tones on the neck and bridge avoids the interaction of having both tone pots in the circuit at the N + M position.
