I’m not sure I’m in the right place, but I mated a Villager 12 string neck with a Strat knock-off body. When assembling, we noted that the Adjustment nut for the neck rod was missing. The neck is true and plays sweetly, even in the higher frets. Because the neck has no serial #, I am unable to date it, but the natural finish and the aging lead me to believe the neck is mid-sixties through the early 70’s. Being aware of possible differences in thread count, pitch and twist my question is: Is the tension nut for Fender guitars universal? Or should I be asking to find a time or instrument restricted part? Sorry for length. Again, don’t know if I’m doing this right, but was no thread for something this specific. Thanks, FrankenFender.

Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!
I have no answer to your question, but it's posted in the right place, no worries there. Fender's Tech folks could probably answer it for you, though. You might try sending an email to them.

Thanks. I’ll do just that. Any known way to date the neck? I appreciate your rapid response. It’s a very specific subject

Any known way to date the neck? Probably, but I'm clueless. I think Google could be your friend on that.
