Wondering if someone could give me a heads up as to whether shielding a squire stagemaster would be like shielding a tele or a strat. I'm new to all this and feel a little overwhelmed at the strat shielding instructions. Would probably get help taking my guitar apart if it were the latter.

dpreed, Hi, and to the forums. From what I can see, the Stagemaster is more like a Les Paul in that everything is "back-loaded", instead of being under a pickguard (aka "top-loaded"). The procedures are the same for any guitar, but in this case, you don't have a large single cavity to deal with, you have a couple of smaller ones. No difference, really. If you take your time about it, and think things through, the small differences won't be a problem at all. But as usual, if you have any detailed questions at all, just ask - that's why we're here! ;D A quick-reference link for ya, in case you didn't bookmark the QtB article on the original GuitarNuts site: Quieting the Beast.
