Hey Fellas, Here is a great gift for your wife or girlfriend. I just got a pair. They’re earrings made of old Tropical Fish capacitors. This one is .010. If you want to know where I got them, just let me know. I am no way affiliated with it. But aren’t they cute?

Yes I like them! I had a bag of these in the '70's and I liked how they looked on my pcb's
Those ones look ideal for everyday wear, particularly if you favour a Partridge-family colour pallet. And I would recommend a pair of 0.22's for parties.

JohnH, could we get them made up as treble bleed earrings, of course using your preferred values?

No problems ! ...Jewellery (my spelling!) is my other hat anyway....probably even work out some Members' Rates given enough interest and enthusiasm for my built-in delay unit (measured in weeks on a good month.....) ....no, I didn't mean you get bleeding ears

Well, it's one application where those fancy-type caps actually do make a difference . . .

They are great frets. And it must be super cool, for you, to have a pair bc the guy on a date could ask about your earrings and you could talk about guitars. At Tone Cap making school, they should require students to take courses on color. That way, you could buy earrings in assortments of color. Bc the red/brown/white limits clothing, IMLO at least. Note: IMLO = in my lowly opinion

Bc the red/brown/white limits clothing, IMLO at least. same color codes as resistors which was one of the most important things i could've learned. helps me from breaking out the meter to see what each resistor is (unless they're the small blue metal films... my eyes see brown/black and orange/red as the same on a blue background). i even hang my tee shirts in that color order to help register it in my brain (not many violet shirts though)
