Hi Guys, I am always doing bench testing on my harnesses and I thought for the audience of frequent flyers (those who build multiple harnesses), I would post this simple tip. It has to do with the jack. I got tired of always soldering a jack. So I decided to put the jack on multivoltage test leads that you can get at the hardware store. You solder the jack to the test leads and you can clip your jack right to your harness for testing. Here I test a Tele HS Coil Split on a 4-Way with the setup (I’m only testing the coil split; hence, no single coil). Using a little bit of hot glue on the jack lugs after the jack is soldered to the leads ensures that the leads don’t break off the lugs. Its a simple tip, but will save you the aggravation if you build multiple harnesses.😸😸😸
