IMO..... any musician who refuses to acknowledge that Bacharach and David rate right up there along side of Holland-Dozier-Holland, or Leiber & Stoller, or John & Taupin or Strong & Whitfield, or particularly Lennon & McCartney.... that person is admitting to ignorance of pop music history, plain and simple. But cheer up - it's never too late to learn!! YouTube and/or Wikipedia are both excellent starting points, and I'm certain that the more one learns about these writers, the more one will appreciate just how the pop music scene was guided by them, from the 50's onward, even right up to today. Make of that what you will. sumgai
