This week's installment of "let's make it somewhat different" has guitars, but they're acoustic. Get a load of this pair, and check out some of their later material. (This is from late 2017 or early 2018, I can't be sure of exactly when.) I'd like to be the guy selling strings to them! sumgai

That percussive stuff is called "Golpe". I do wonder why her guitar doesn't look like a six months old Tommy Emmanuel Maton! I started out with classical tuition and my tutor introduced "flamenco" bits and pieces, bits of which I still play fifty years on. I only had lessons for two years before I got the call of steel, but it laid down ground rules at an early stage such as never using "thumb-over" fretting hand technique. Apart from during graded classical exams, she couldn't thrash using the pinky as a confidence prop out of me though ...

and finally how does one lower the action height in a classic guitar? Acoustic guitars rely more on resonance than electrics. The strings are deliberately high so they don't lose energy bouncing off of a fretboard. That said, you can adjust actions similarly to an electric. Truss rod, if it has one...file the saddle and nut, use a different fret profile... The only thing you can't do is shim the neck... These modifications could potentially have a detrimental effect on the sound characteristics of your acoustic guitar, but if your aim is to play a hair slower than it takes to ignite the wood on the fingerboard...you probably won't notice. BTW, the Crazy Glue and baking soda thing works...just in case you get a tad happy with the files... HTC1

Let me go off-topic for a moment, and just say that seeing Gabriela smile is almost more mesmerizing than the music. BTW, pyrroz, they are heavily influenced by metal music, and have covered Metallica, Pink Floyd and others from that genre. You might do a little looking around.... sumgai
