I've seen these things made from turtles or armadillos... ...I admit, the moose antler is much less creepy... HTC1

I admit, the moose antler is much less creepy... Yeah, it's like that old joke about having bacon and eggs for breakfast- the chicken was involved, the pig was committed . . . The moose lived (presumably) to grow another pair for a HH model the next year. The turtles, well . . .not so much. thetragichero- I'm not clear on "servicemen's special", you got me there. But elk shed their antlers like deer and moose do, so no hunting needed to get a rack, just lots of hiking in the woods.

elk was a japanese guitar/amp company starting in the 60s OK, makes sense now, had never heard of that brand before. I didn't make the leap from "servicemen" to "Japanese guitars"
