Hello Everybody
Can someone steer me in the right direction here?
I have experimented with taming pickups with capacitors and resistors before, so I understand putting capacitors and resistors in parallel so that I am reducing the low end and letting the top end through to get a slight volume cut like below;
|---C1---------| Volume------| |---------Pickup------Ground |---R1---------|
However I am trying to conceptually understand what happens in the below scenario - is it going to be two stages of frequencies getting let through high pass filters? Or does this start getting too curly?
|---C1---------| | | Volume------|---R1---------|---------Pickup------Ground | | |---C2---R2----|
P.S. Yes I have tried lowering the pickup volume, it works to an extent but loses the top end response

Both scenarios are very similar as they will both reduce low end, depending on the resistor/cap values. The overall volume is not really reduced.
