Check out the freeway switchs It's like a Phostenix wiring (with S1 pot) but it's easier to wire

I use them quite a bit (their SSS/SSH version) and like them overall. They can be a bit fiddly, but generally are trouble-free. The one time I had an issue, their tech helped me solve the issue quickly. The main knock is you pretty much have to follow their wiring schemes whereas with a Superswitch your imagination is the only limit. Here is one hack to get "11" positions out of the 10-way switch, though NxMxB can be a bit thick sounding. On some builds it works well, on others it's too murky, so it depends on your pickups. You can even combine this with active EQ and passive pickups and get good results, as in the case below using the Artec stuff.

So, BH.... I've been wondering for some time now... You draw and contribute such beautiful diagrams, both schematic and assembly (wiring), yet I now need to know - are your diagrams showing the underside of a 'righty' or the top side of a 'lefty'?? And if it's the latter case, then are your controls wired "normal" as in clock-wise for maximum? Asking for a friend! sumgai

Hi Sumgai, thanks for the kind words. Actually for both my guitar drawings, and wiring schemes, I draw them in standard 'Right hand' orientation. For the wiring, almost invariably, the drawings show the position of pots and switches as if you were working on them (pickguard upside down, or guitar that way) just like everyone else. Therefore in terms of the pots I follow the 'clockwise' to "10", 'counter-clockwise' to "0", with the exception of C1M pots which are used only on PTB circuits. In other words the average righty (or right playing leftie) can use my drawings without any translation issues.
I actually set up all my LH guitars with 'clockwise' pots (C1M for PTB being the one obvious exception, just like on a standard RH guitar). Note: I have a bunch of lefties who use me for mods and builds, and only one likes the reverse pots (and the irony is she is right handed but lost some fingers so converted to playing leftie after her accident!), the rest like the standard rotation wiring (same as right handed players).
I have no trouble 'mirroring' images in my mind when I build, so is rare when I screw up a drawing, and can wire up guitars and build them LH or RH with equal facility. TAB and chord shapes are much the same thing, I can transpose them in my mind to leftie after some practice. It's something lefties deal with daily, our minds have to be flexible, kind of like multilingual people. I don't need a special chord book....
In terms of your friend, it's easy enough to find a 'mirror function' in most all photo manipulation or graphic programs. For example Photopea.com (free online, and one I like to use) has one (commands are: edit/transform/flip horizontally) but naturally it will flip the pots too...so you have to be mindful of that, unless you or your friend like backward pots. If you need a specific drawing, have specific requirements, and have trouble with flipping images around let me know, and I'll see what I can do.
