Hi I’m new heee to this forum. I’m not the best with guitar wiring. I’ve been trying figure out how to hook up Seymour’s Duncan’s mud mod to my push pull pot. I have the capacitor ibetween the switch and the neck hot wire. I would like to be able to turn this mod off sometimes. Can this be done if so help please. Apologies if the answer is already on forum, I’ve searched the internet and can’t find what I’m looking for

Seymour’s Duncan’s mud mod Hello james0820, and welcome to GN2. It would be helpful if you could provide a drawing of what that mod consists of, or at least a link to a page that describes it and has a drawing of the circuit.

james0820- Sorry, but I have moved this thread here as you are asking a wiring question, not discussing tone controls. But to answer your question, yes, it can be switched in/out. Diagram to follow . . .

Like so. the lug layout on your push/pull may vary, most look roughly like this. If the switch is oriented such that the cap occupies the top-most lugs (i.e., closest to the pot itself), then pulling up will engage the cap, with the push/pull down you'll have normal operation. If you'd like it the other way around, just flip the wiring vertically.

Many thanks I knew it was super simple. At least now I have a better understanding of how the push pull pot works
