Hello everyone, I am looking to mod my Ibanez that is a 2 humbucker, 1 volume, 1 tone, and 3 way blade configuration. I've found the wiring diagrams for my options but none of them describe what exactly is activated in each switch position with the push pull activated or not activated. Does anyone mind listing out what is selected? Thank you in advance

The top one is standard tele (neck-both-bridge) and with a separate P/P to split each pickup.
The bottom one is standard tele with the P/P one way (probably pushed) and then would be both-in-series/both-in-series/dead(jack open, probably noisy) with the P/P the other way. I think most of us would prefer a “series override” arrangement where it just puts both pickups in series no matter what the 3-way is doing. The other P/P inverts polarity of the bridge pickup in every position but will only really be noticeable in one of the “both” positions.

Does anyone mind listing out what is selected? The first drawing selects Neck / Both / Bridge and has one volume and one tone. The push-pull on the volume control splits the Neck pickup so that only the North coil is available. The push-pull splits the Bridge pickup so that only the North coil is available. This is typical shortsightedness we've come to expect from SD wiring diagrams. Whenever splitting two HBs, is it preferable to have one of them split to North and the other split to South. That way, when the two single coils are combined together, they hum-cancel. Also, rather than shunting the unused coils, it's better to bypass them.
In the second drawing, we again have a 3-way selector with one volume and one tone. But the HBs are always 'full'. The push-pull on the tone control flips the phase of the Bridge pickup so when both pickups are selected together, there is partial cancellation of the fundamental and various harmonics are canceled or reinforced. No problem with this part. The series mode switch on the volume control is another half-baked design from SD. When the push-pull on the Volume is pulled (Series mode) the neck pickup is placed in series with the Bridge pickup. You only get sound in the Neck or Both position of the pickup selector, when in Series mode. You get no sound in the Bridge position of the selector, when in Series mode. Unfortunately these hacks didn't properly manage the disconnection of the Bridge pickup from the pickup selector. It's not that hard to do it properly, but the SD wiring experts don't seem to have a clue. I wouldn't suggest using either of these drawings as-is.
