Having trouble with the N on position 8 and 10. It’s on on 10 and off on 8 opposite of what it should be (see image below); No shorts between any of the terminals on the switch, except where jumpers are. And only M is shorted to ground as it should be. Any ideas?
RetrEDIT: Added information to this post: Freeway 5B5-01 connectivity chart by Yogi B from this postFreeway 5B5-01 SSS Scheme A2 Errors in pickup selections (from image uploaded by ThreadStarter, later in this thread). Bridge is incorrectly included in position 10. Neck is incorrectly missing in position 8.

jerryj- Hello and Welcome to G-Nutz2!We're going to need some more information. Can you post the diagram you used to wire it? Not only will this alleviate any assumptions as to the wiring, it will also allow someone to review it in this thread, without having to open it elsewhere and toggle back and forth.

I’m having a little trouble finding my way around on this site but have read lots of good things on it. Ok here is my problem - first, I missed up my first post. It should have said B on pos. 10 should be off and the N on pos. 8 should be on. I’ve included a pic as you suggested. Appreciate any ideas you may have. Jerry Sorry I tried but don’t know how to post pic on here

hi jerryj, Could you post two pics? Your first pic helps me to understand your first post, but it doesn’t alleviate all assumptions on wiring, since the volume pot is hidden underneath your note page. But, it does show the wiring in the freeway blade in the upper right, when your pic is turned 90°. About posting pics here: each pic you upload to the img service must be, at most, 600 pixels wide. I believe, if you resize that pic appropriately (so it’s 600 pixels tall), the postimg service will allow you to rotate it. Oh, the img upload button doesn’t appear on phone; I have to use a computer to post images here.

Appreciate any ideas you may have. Hello jerryj It's easy to get confused with the pickup selection chart Freeway embedded in that scheme. They show the Bridge in the leftmost position in the selection chart but on the rightmost part of the wiring diagram. I edited your OriginalPost to include a pad-to-pad connectivity chart by position, the diagram from Freeway, and your recently uploaded image.

Thanks for the help but I just took it all down and started over! And works great Glad to hear that. I had started looking for a possible error that could result in the symptoms you described. Having BH and NH tied together would cause the problems you reported in positions 10 and 8 but I hadn't checked all eight other positions to see what would happen in each of them. But since you have it working now, that's just a moo point.
