Hey fellas. Hope you are all doing well. I'm back with another complicated wiring request:) I'm in love with my Les Paul ever since I got it wired the way i want with newey's help. I tried to update the wiring once but it was unsuccesful thanks to my lazy guitar tech that i trust. I want to try this again with a couple of changes. This is the wiring in my guitar right now: And these are the changes i want to make: Neck Volume: Splits both pickups(Neck screw coil - Bridge slug coil) Neck Tone: Bypasses neck volume and tone controls(Same as before) Bridge Volume: Bypasses bridge volume and tone controls Bridge Tone: Puts neck pickup out of phase with bridge pickup(instead of the other way around) 50's wiring In short, the neck split switch, will now split both pickups. The out of phase switch will now effect the neck pup instead of bridge(So that i can use the slug coil by itself when i split it). And the old bridge split is going to become a Bridge volume and tone bypass. I really need this wiring because then i will feel the guitar is complete. I've put so much time, money and effort into this guitar so i don't want to settle on this wiring when i know the new one is going to be much better. Thanks in advance to everyone who would like to help.

cem- Sorry no one got back to you sooner on this. I don't see a problem with what you propose. Give me a few days to take a look and see if I can get a diagram together for you.

cem- Sorry for the delay on this. I think this should be OK and hopefully I've kept the right coils for the coil cuts. But let's get another take on this before you wire it, stupid errors are common with my diagrams! Note that, to show the pots clearly, I have rearranged them from their physical locations in the guitar. You can, of course, put them through whichever of the 4 holes you wish provided you make the wires long enough.

newey, the bypass switches should be more like that in the previous version — currently the volume pot's wiper & tone controls remain connected when supposedly bypassed. I've also noticed the tone controls appear to be backwards (in both old & new diagrams): maximum treble cut when turned in the same direction as turning the volume controls to full volume. cem, I know your proposed arrangement means less changes to the previous diagram, but I'd consider swapping one of the bypass switches to a different pot: having one be on a volume control whilst the other is on a tone control would drive me (more) nutty.

OK, let me take another look at this. I didn't work from the prior diqagram as so many changes were involved.

I would agree in normal circumstances but my hands got used to the older wiring. This will be easier to wire and my hands wont feel lost on stage since the bridge split pot is the only pot i never use. Now It will become bridge bypass and everything else will feel the same. It makes sense to me in a weird way:)

Here's the revised version, which hopefully fixes both of the issues Yogi B identified:

Here's the revised version, which hopefully fixes both of the issues Yogi B identified Unfortunately that's not quite there yet. Below should be a fixed version — I tried to stick to changes that were functional rather than just aesthetic, but there were a few niggles I couldn't resist doing something about:

Yes, that's better, eliminates the double wiring to the 3-way, I didn't "see" that. Thanks, Yogi B!

Thanks so much Yogi B and neweyShould I consider this last version as proofread? I really have to make sure the diagram is perfect because if there is anything wrong with it, this will set me back at least a couple of months to correct since my guitar tech is always too busy and i have other guitars or projects for him to work on.
