(EDIT: moved from Tone Controls to a forum more in keeping with the request, by sumgai, 10/16/24)
I’m trying to wire 2- 4 wire humbuckers to a 2 tone, 2 volume and a 3 way toggle schematic. Sounds simple? Here’s the kicker, along the way I’d like to coil split using on/on slide switch and another for series/parallel circuit on another on/ on slide switch.

Like this? Just substitute the push\pull switch for your slide switches. HTC1

To be brutally honest, that's even more fugly than some of the garbage I've seen from Seymour Duncan. When the switch is engage that configures two pickups in series, it behaves reasonably well when the pickup selector is in the neck-only position. The Neck volume becomes a master volume, the Neck tone becomes a master tone, and the Bridge tone becomes a treble bypass for the Bridge pickup. In the Bridge-only or Both pickups position of the pickup selector, you end up with a snarly mess. Ugh.

It won’t let me post a pic Are you using the mobile version of ProBoards? If so, you will need to switch to the desktop version in order to get access to the tools to upload images. You can use the mobile version to upload images but you have to do the BBC code manually by inserting "img" tags before and after the URL. There are more detialed tutorials on uploading images in the "Forum-Related Information" section of the Board, found within "Harmonious Notes".

That GuitarElectronics diagram wants you to solder 8, eight, ground wires to the back of Volume pot. 8o
So, you set a guitar up this way and then probably need to purchase a new Volume pot. Is this a method of increasing the new potentiometer need to most people without (or maybe even with) great soldering skills?
