Lately my Yamaha Pacifica (strat style), has been going abit crazy, It recently was giving me problems wih the swith, and i was having to push it really hard at a certain angle before it would sound right (and give full output.) The Tone and Volume controls are pretty crap too.
Anyways, i opened it up and found a mess (how do they wire this stuff!), where double the required wire was usued. Anywas, everything seemed fine, so i shut it and fastened the screws ait more.
This seems to have fixed the problem abit, though i am still not using some pick-ups positions (4 and 2 are still risky), and i cannot do any fast switches.
What do you think i should do? The pickups are SSH, Whilst i am at it, should i take the opportunity to re-wire it to get something more out of it??

"Inaccurate firearms are uninteresting." (I know, I've "pre-boiled" my share of match barrels in the pursuit of paramount accuracy.)
So are unreliable instruments.
