Ah the ignorance of youth...
Back in the day, the pots in my 68 Gibson ES335TD disintegrated... I replaced them with some Bourns linear tapers I found at a local store and loved. For some reason, known only to my younger mind, I decided to make things modular. I snipped a bit of cable off the end of the pickups. On the wire still attached to the pickup, I soldered a Radio Shack 1/8" plug for each pickup. On the wire attached to the controls, I soldered a Radio Shack 1/8" jack. The plugs/jacks are color coded and have plastic barrels. Well, age/oxidation is finally taking it's toll and this method loses connection periodically. What I want to do is replace the Radio Shack plug/jack things with better quality locking connectors of some type. Can anyone suggest such a connector? Thanx.
