Chris, After seeing some of your other postings, I'm not surprised in the least that you're also into AutoCAD. ;D Far too expensive to go out and buy for stuff like this, but if you've already got it, what they hey, right? Question: You also said that you've got a diagram of your AmDlx SSS w/S1. Would you be willing to compare notes with me on that? I'm wondering if my 2005 is the same as in years previous. If so, let's start a separate thread in the Schematics sub-Forum. sumgai

sumgai,
Well, I've picked up a bit of "clutter" in my wandering aboot the planet.
AutoCAD (full suite as well as LT), MathCAD, Maple, Mathematica, Pro E, PCAD, solids modeling, yada, yada, yada. Whenever I do a start-up, I put all of the licenses in MY name!
Sure, on the Am Dlx SSS S-1 Strat (I musta got a great price on S's, eh?) The was/were some change(s) on the SSS wiring. I bot my first one in Feb 04. I traced the circuit and found the following modes:
5. N 4. N+M 3. M 2. M+B 1. B
and
5. N*M 4. (N+sC)*M 3. (N+B)*M 2. (B+sC)*M 1. B*M
SC is the “special cap”. I think that it’s 0.03uF. It is a cap, I just don’t know if it’s all that special.
I bot another one (the 50th anniv. model) last summer, I think that it's the same.
You can get to the diagram on the FDP Forum. I'm "yetanothermidlifecrisis". Men have mid life crisis' BECAUSE WE CAN!
Ask away!
