Hello everyone, I just finished doing the mod, plugged it in, difficult to describe, ;D ;D!! This is the greatest ever!!! So now , it feels as if I had been playing with the volume at 6 all these years, now I not only have more output volume, like if you added 3 more numbers after 10...but it also decreased the interference! Oh I forgot to mention that this was done on a 62 strat reissue, made in 87!, this is my baby, my main squeeze, and now, all of this has got me into rediscovering/reconfigerating my old school setup! Ive got tons of hours in front of me and ooops just wet my pants, have to go, later..... Thanks for this amazing modification!

Hey there, I actually wanted to take pictures, but I was so exited to try the guit that I forgot! So for the ring connectors it was a 3/4 inch diameter, and its the one with a wide inner hole. I had to take the plastic part off and could not crimp it because I did not have the tool, but still I filled up the ring handle with solder and that was fine. Yes I did put the capacitors, very good ones too, I got those from my electronic guru, this guy is registered to fix akg and wireless mics in Montreal. He had all the electronics. I did not mention, but I also added a capacitor on the switcher to give me tone control on the bridge pickup. I really recomend doing this mod, if you tinkered a bit before with soldering, this is pretty easy, its very well explained, and I must say, I relied more on the diagrams than the explanation. I also made the effort to keep the original cables ,that way, I did not feel like I was butchering my baby!, In the end, I was left with 2 complete wires,(the ones going to the jack) were replaced by a 2 conductor/shielded mic cable, and half of the tremolo ground wire wich was cut and attached to the bottom of the bridge pickup with a small wood screw and a washer. Happy Buzz Eliminating!

If the stargrounding and shielding is a revelation, you should really try the treble bleed mod: 1nF cap + 150-200k resistor in parallel across the volume pot.
was a revelation to me! j
