Lately I've been trying to research which guitar model my uncle's old guitar is. I know it's a Hagstrom and it's either the Viking II or the Viking De Luxe. I was wondering if anybody knows of a site that has a break down of the serial numbers for each one. I tried looking for the book that was published but have yet to find it. Any help is appreciated.

I can tell you that after 1988, the serial numbers began with "53." From there, you'd need a key (in the book, I guess) to find out what year the batch of guitars was made. The first three digits of the SN (after the 53, if applicable) were for the batch number. hem.passagen.se/awe/hagstromenserialno.htmI get the impression that it's not anywhere on the Web so that people will buy the book.
