Aquired a couple of plexiglass mounting plates from E-bay, but they're a foot thick, not to mention pretty cheesy looking to boot,
Time for plan B.
I've seen the Ibby/ Charvel/ Washburn screw-it-into the body deal, But I'm not real keen on that either, they seem to strip pretty easily.
I'm open to any and all suggestions.

Steward-Macdonald has mounting rings for single-coil pickups, but I can't get the direct URL to work. Stew-Mac is at: www.stewmac.com/Then go to Hardware, Parts -> Electric Guitar: Covers, plates. They are about halfway down the page on the left-hand side.

That link would be: Stew-Mac's Mounting RingsHTH sumgai p.s. Frank, the link is overly long for ProBoards to handle. I cheated, and removed a comma and a colon from the link - they aren't needed, obviously.

Hmm... Sumgai, your link goes to humbucker rings. wesman is looking for mounting rings for single-coils. wesman, I'm not sure if this is helpful, but try: Single Coil rings

I don't think the problem is the length. If I recall right, commas and colons aren't allowed in URLs.
Their server can handle them internally, obviously, but Proboards doesn't.

Thanks for the replies, I intended on using those but my project is a little over budget, so I went with the cheaper plexiglass ones (bad move on my part, oh well live & learn).
I'm thinkin' now I'll just screw 'em to the body & call it a day. Anybody know what size screws to buy??
Thanks, Wesman

Yeah - weird. It inserted a space between the "p" and "s" in the word "Pickups". I checked my post and there is definitely no space. It's all good though - you had the right link for wesman.

servant, Right you are. Obviously, I was in too big of a hurry, when all I wanted was to get in a last bit of "help", before heading out on vacation, and I blew it. Ah, well, it's been corrected, so all's well that ends well.
