I just bought a used Epi LP custom plus and want to change the stock pickups.
What would be a good "Gibson 498t like" pickups made by Seymour Duncan, since I will have discount on them.
I want something Beefy and with good output like the 498t, does seymour duncan have something in that range ?
BTW, I have been a little disapointed by the JB pickup in my LTD ec-1000 so this one is out of the question for sure. Thanks.

Hi there, welcome to the forum! I've only done a quick scan of the 498t specs and the Seymour Duncan site here, but a hot pickup with alnico V magnets can be found in the SH-14 Custom Five. It seems to match reasonably well on paper, for the details I can find on the 498t, so at a glance would be the best starting point. The SH-11 Custom Custom is in the same ballpark, but with alnico II (slightly softer and sweeter sounding, or smoother with more high end detail when distorted). Always nice to get a discount too...
