I own 2 Jackson guitars and love the deep sound that they give. I do have a question!!! I bought a Jackson Pro model about 7 years ago and the neck is super thin compared to any other guitar I've ever played. Where can I find another neck as thin as this and does need to be custom built???

Ibanezes with Wizard series neck. ;D oops, I never played a Jackson, neither have examined one; dunno if the Wizard neck can be fitted in a Jackson or not. (I think not  )

When the Jackson(tm) site comes back up in it's full form check the resources link and there is also a 1-800 phone number you can call. ;D You can also do a search on eBay for your desired neck. I am certain you will find it there at a reasonable price.

I'm sure Warmoth's necks will fit, it's just a matter of knowing the radius and contour of the Jackson Pro neck.

I had a Jackson Rhoads flying V...Great neck, it was a thru body model. I payed big bucks for it years ago, and since styles and trends change I couldnt get squat for it when I tried to sell it last year.

I have a Jackson that was a custom neck-thru dinky strat from the 80s. [Serial J 0547]. The neck is flat both fingerboard radius as well as the neck stock dimension . Starts to flare a bit at the 12th fret. I mention this only because I did have another guitar made and I used some measurments from the Jackson when I had these guys in LA make a custom strat. Apparently not a super hard thing to do. Warmouth parts are probably your best bet. Good Luck!

Warmoth.com You can buy any of their necks with the "wizard" setting. Plus many of the prebuilt necks (much cheaper) are wizard or "speed" necks (as my friends and I call them)
The wizard necks from Ibanez probably (only probably) can depending on the models. Lots of manufacturers jumped on the fender bandwagon and used their standard measurements.
My randy rhoads has a thin neck. My friend (who sold me this one) has an identical one that he took the neck off of and put it on his american strat. Im not sure if he did any modification or not.

yep. and i have a custom project body and neck here. a very flat rosewood fretboard with normal thickness and the rest of the neck is barely thicker than the fretboard. the neck is unfinished yet, though, and i won't use it anyway

I can move my left hand fast enough... i just cant pick fast enough. It sucks having heroes who can pick faster than a lambourghini can move

It used to bother me that I couldnt do the speed thingy. It also bothers me that my daughters entry level Ibanez guitar has a faster neck then my trusty Stratocaster! Lifes unfair... As Howlin Wolf used to sing.. " Im built for comfort, I aint built for speed"
