Hello.
I have a Korean Fenix Strat that I bought about 12 years ago. It’s a fine guitar, better than many genuine F’s that I’ve played. Unfortunately, I believe they no longer operate, at least not under that name.
When I was routing it to install an HB at the bridge – with wise technical support from some esteemed members of this forum – I found the body wood to be a dark teak-like colour.
Does anybody have any idea what this wood could be? Have you had any good or bad experiences with Fenix guitars?
Cheers,
Simes

Fenix was the name used by the Young Chang Company on their acoustic and electric guitars. I believe Young Chang discontinued guitar production approximately 1999-2000ish.
As far as the body wood of your strat...it could be a number of different types, but most likely a variety of Luan (Asian mahogany).
