Hey guys. Anyone have any experience with the epiphone dot 335 copy. I've had mine for a few years and am very pleased with it... but... I think I might want to switch out the pickups. How are the GFS pickups compared to the stock epiphone pickups? Also, the bridge sucks. If you look carefully at the bridge, you'll notice that the string spacing is a bit narrower than the tailpiece. If I do replace the bridge, I'll need to pull out the studs and fill the holes with dowels, then redrill. Any input on this?

It seems weird for the string spacing to be off - unless the slots for the strings were filed off center. However, I don't know that it would effect anything though.
Before taking power tools to your guitar, I'd check out the tun-o-matic bridges at Stewmac.com. They have a variety, and you can probably find a bridge that will drop into your guitar without mods. If the tailpiece bridge spacing is off because the bridge is slightly off center, you could correct it by dropping in a new bridge and then cutting the string slots to line up with the tailpiece - even if they are slightly off center on the saddles. However, I don't think a differnce in spacing between the tailpiece and bridge means anything unless you don't like the feel of the spacing.

schaller stm bridge could help - it has adjustable string spacings. and it even has got rollers.

Don't know about the GFS's, but I put a set of Gibson '57 classics into my Dot, and love the sound.
