Here is a guitar a guy in a game i play is building , pretty sweet. ''Last year I made a "sketch" from a guitar I want to build, which will be in my opinion the best Fender-type guitar. The main parts are from a Stratocaster and a Jaguar -> Straguar. But it has also some stuff from a Mustang. The Electronic is based on a Jaguar with 4 Singlecoils (I thought of Lace Sensor Gold) where the 2 at the bridge can function as a humbucker. You will (maybe) be able to choose of around 45 switching positions, but I guess that'll be too much ( 1x5-way, 3x3-way) but it gives many variants of sounds. It also has a Bigsby Tremolo (Vibrato) System and the special jaguar bridge. I also would prefer the big headstock. the difference between the two pictures is only the upper end of the pickguard, where I just don't know yet. www.flickr.com/photos/15583429@N00/200356484/in/photostreamwww.flickr.com/photos/15583429@N00/200356485/in/photostreamIt will cost aproximatly around 1000 €, the hard things about it is, I have to find the correct body (If I'd do it myself, it would look disastrous) I have to find somebody (or buy a machine) who can cut the pickguard like I want it I have to find somebody who can print the text on the headstock I want to.'' Can you guys help him?

png, Your buddy is ambitious! As in your other thread, the place(s) to go for Jaguar style bodies will be either Warmoth or USA Custom Guitars. For a custom pickguard, try any of the following: [/b][/url] 2) Pickguard Heaven3) Pickguardian4) Terrapin[/ul]You can also buy blank materials from these sources, and cut your own shape. Or you can go back to Warmoth, USA Custom Guitars or even Stew-Mac and get blank pickguard materials, possibly for less moola. Does Google work in Malta? You really should start using that, or else Yahoo, they have a good search engine too. ;D HTH sumgai

www.projectguitar.com is a great place to go if your looking for information on building guitars or for parts suppliers. Much of the information i used when building my guitar was found there. Any questions you may have can be answered on their forums too.
