otaku,
Nothing to offer here, except that I've seen them in various pawn shops from time to time. Sometimes the place wants as much as $500, but I don't see the value. I saw one at only $275, and it wasn't beat up. That seemed fair to me, if you want 2 HB's and an SC, plus an FR. Much more than that, and I'd pass.
But that's just me, you understand. ;D

Actually I´m not interested in getting one. A friend of mine happens to have one but he knows nothing about the guitar so I was thinking that some people in here may have an idea about it.

Closest thing to it that Squire makes these days is the "Showmaster" series. Didn't they run a "Stagemaster" line a while back?
To me, it looks mid-90ish... Maybe competition for the cheaper Ibanez's of the times?

i'm now gonna totally muddy up this line of thought.
about a year ago, i believe there was a Showmaster by Fender.
not to be confused with a Fender Showmaster.
this thing made any Squier look like a PRS, by comparison.
i say i believe there was because it might have been a Stagemaster or some other existing Fender name.
they were sold at WalMart / Sam's Club, so you can only imagine!
strangly enough the cheap cables they sell seem to work pretty good.

Nice looking squier. I love those thin guitars like the Ibanez Saber and Jackson Stealth. Unfortunately, it looks like this has that cheap Takeuchi trem.
