in 1974 or 1975, i went into a music store in shelbyville kentucky. the man working there showed me a really odd gibson and i've been posting on the net for years trying to find if anyone ever saw one like it.
the guitar was black and was a semi-hollow body electric, such as Es-335, 345 etc. what was unusual was that this guitar had tiny white plastic buttons on the headstock (right at the base of the headstock, where your thumb might sit when playing a 1st position C-chord), on the neck near where the neck joins the body, and, i think, on the neck around the 5th fret. the man said that the buttons were to make the guitar play in stereo.
i have posted this on numerous forums but no one seems to have ever seen one like it. and to save time, it was NOT an epiphone. and the buttons i've described were on the neck and headstock, not the body of the guitar.
so has anybody here ever seen a gibson like that?

i havent. but it definately sounds like a custom thing. if you can figure out how to wire it, then it sounds like it would be fun. otherwise, you may have to talk to the gibson custom shop if you want one...
