These really suck!
Picked one up for £80 last year while on a school trip to York. Knew nothing about it, but the neck felt OK and I needed something to practice on while I was there. The pups were crap, the bridge did not have through body stringing and the tuners had some serious problems keeping it in tune. All well and good I thought, this will be a good project, just change some hardware. NOT the case! Of course the sucker turnde out to be plywood. Agathis at that...:-( Anyway, Don't buy one of these unless you want to do a full-on custom job. I am about halfway through mine, having hollowed out the body and laminated it in ash, I'm about to put Duncan QPs and a Bigsby B5 on there, as well as a roller nut, Gotoh tuners and a VERY custom paintjob. Should be killer in the end:-P
