The GC near me has a new Ibanez Artcore AS73 with a beautiful transparent cherry finish for $300. I like the way it looks, feels, and sounds, but wondered if anyone has one in their stable or has any experience with this model. Opinions?

I feel for the money they are a great deal. If you like the way it feels and plays I would go for it you can always put new pups in, ect if you wanted. I've always had good luck with Ibanez quality.

I've got an '83 AM-50, which is the precursor to the ArtCores. Love it. *Love* it. The ACs play very nicely. Try it out! Definitely good value for the money.

I don't have one but, a friend of mine does and it is a great guitar. 300 is a steal in my opinion. Get it, have it set up (new strings, intonation, etc..., it'll never go out of tune, my friends doesn't). I have solid body electrics right now but, when I make the move to a hollow body I will positively look at these. It's a great guitar, and what a value! I just paid 700 for a 10 year old telecaster but, that's a different story. I would say go get it and enjoy!
