It reminds me a little bit of something referred to as a "CMoy" pocket amplifier. People use them to amplify headphones mainly. I tried to make a CMoy last summer ... tried ... But you will likely have better luck than I did Dan

If you leave the caps on the highfreq speakers then everything should be good. If you dont they will be effected by lower frequencies and get damaged. But most of the speakers in those home cabinets are 5 to 10 watts. Ive played a guitar through them before so you shouldnt have any trouble.
