I just built up a tube portable amp using a 6V6GT and a 12AX7. It works of a 12V Sealed battery that velcro mounts in the case. I designed and built a high efficiency inverter to output 300Volts for the Tube supply and this seems to give around 4 hours continuos playing time. It has a clean channel and variable distortion by adjusting the preamp feedback loop. Now is there a market for portabe battery powered 5,10,20 Watt amps? It also works of the mains supply by using a inbuilt power supply.
Any thoughts or recommendations?

I'd think about it. Got any real specifications and pics?
I presume that you've considered a cigarette lighter plug as well as a power source.
Wow, think aboot it, Glass Audio fer cars. (Oh wait, we had that until we invented transistors for car radios.)
Gives a traffic jam(min') a new perspective. ;D
