Hi guys, here in Tasmania, Australia, we're an Island state & while it's great being isolated from all the crowds etc... we can't get to try/or hear much of a range of gear! I'm thinking of getting a Fender Bassman 300PRO-the all tube bass amp-6x6550 tubes! So I was just wondering if anyone's had any experiences with these & your opinions of em? Anything is helpful! Thanx, Rod.

Rod, I once had his big brother, the 400PS.... needed two roadies and a case of beer just to move the thing! But once it was in place, it could literally move building off of their foundations. I can't speak to pricing and/or valuations down there, that's up to you. But if you're gigging in anything larger than a small bar, the 300PRO should do the trick, make no mistake! ;D Good luck! sumgai

;D Got MY 300pro Bassman on Friday!!! Used it a 2 gigs over the weekend-pity we had to keep the noise down at both!!! My gawd!!!! What a beast of an amp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D Sounds absolutely georgous-thick ,smooth, warm & the 2 channel set up is wonderful!!! The Distortion/gain on Ch.2 is a greatly useable warm old school thick drowly dist. U can blend it with ch.1. so U can get all, none , or any in between!!! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! Cant wait to do the gig this weekend where we can turn up good- in a pub of about 500ppl!! Will let U know my thoughts after that! ----One happy Bassist!!! Cheers, Rod.
