Hi all, I just got hold of an old amp my Dad had lying around out the back. It is was a 1960 Moody Vibralux like this one... Unfortunately the outside elements have ruined the entire cab but I did manage to keep the chasis and contents. Is it possible to replace caps, resistors, transformers, etc and get this baby going again or would it be better off in its final resting place? Shane

well, anything is possible.
(what's that rune? especially in Texas?)
if you need to replace the transformers, i'd consider it a basket case and bail out.
tube sockets, switches, pots, jacks, resistors, and caps usually won't break the bank.
it all depends on how handy you are, and how much time you want to invest.
you might get by, with polishing the contacts on the jacks, tube sockets, and the contacts of the tubes and running some cleaner through the pots.
resistors are most likely O.K.
replace all the electrolytic and paper caps, mainly because of age.
