Can anyone out there tell me what model of Vox amplifiers the Beatles used in the Beatles at Budokan? (1966) Im looking and asking, but still I get nowhere. EDIT: to take out the long urls that were expanding the screen, using the ones from SG below. The pix I have seen: Some Spanish feller's Vox pictureslook like the British tube AC-50: Arty's Vox picturesopposed to the American Vox " Royal Gardsman": David Gant's Vox picture--- A solid state amp. I remember the first time I saw a "Super Beatle" a fantasy amp of all the budding guitarists when they first came out. That whacky chrome piggy back stand (actually pretty functional because you could tip the speaker cab up). I was in awe. But this was before the whole tube distortion thing. This was also during the era where more pickups the better, regardless of how the guitar played, or sounded. (sorry SG, I'm unclear how to do those compressed links). EDIT: Thanks SG

Rune, Since you asked politely........ I'll type up a lesson in a few moments and post it in the Forum Related Info area. In the meantime, here are your links, reformed and made easy to read: (The first was already easy, so I left it alone.) Some Spanish feller's Vox picturesArty's Vox picturesDavid Gant's Vox pictureI made it look easy, but there was some work involved. I'll explain in the "How-To" post, as promised above. HTH sumgai
