hey y'all has anybody played one of these or does anybody own one of these? i'm savin' up to get one. i want one because A. tube tone B.price C. portability D. looks and did i mention tone? i played on in my guitar store and it was awesome ! it was 5 tube watts of awesome tone. and i liked it because of the simplicity: two inputs, volume, and on and off toggle switch. ( this thing is redneck-user-friendly) please any feedback is appreciated.

In my recent search for a second amp, the Champion was one I played, but also passed on. It's not that I didn't like it, but I do already have a tube amp. Sumgai had pointed me towards a Blues Jr. which was a bit above my budget, but I did try a Fender Pro Jr. which seemed right between the two in both price and sound and could probably be used for small gigs. With Guitar Center's anniversary sale (in store) the Pro Jr. was on sale for $309.00, though their site says it's $339 today. The Blonde Blues Jr. is on sale at MF and GC for $399 which is probably as cheap as it's ever going to get and is probably worth the extra $$$ for the 12" speaker, reverb and tone stack(over the Pro Jr.). If price is really a big issue, you may want to hunt down and try a Epiphone valve Jr. combo, 50 bucks cheaper than the champion (though it didn't sound as "fat" to me).

ok thanks ux4484, but yeah price is kind of a big thing but being the fender fanatic that i am ( even thogh as we speak im playing my les paul copy) i would still rather go ahead and get the champion. i thought that it was the cats meow. but, thats because i dont own and have never owned a tube amp before. but it was awesome because its like, when you turn up the volume on a solid state amp , it just gets louder, but on a tube amp it gets .... gutsy. i was playing a squier std. strat through it and with it cranked, just by moving the pickup selector switch its like completely different guitars . tubes are waaaayy more responsive . i was playing some (simplified) SRV stuff and i actually sounded good
