moncton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-musical-instruments-Yamaha-50-watt-4x10-Guitar-Amplifier-W0QQAdIdZ37627681since my peavey's FUBAR i started looking for cheap and used.. I've actually used an old yamaha 50 watt head married to a pair of 12" speakers before, and it really held its own. Mind you, it was an older amp than this and was in better physical condition so the only really common factor is the brand. I've been looking for an amp with less controls. all i really want is a 3 band EQ and spring reverb. i'm going to check it out saturday, and see how it sounds. i've been in contact with the owner and he assured me the pots dont scratch and the two broken speakers sound like they should. Anyone really into Yamaha around here and have opinions? functionality over looks..

alright, so $140 can't go wrong. besides a few scratches in the vynel and rusty screws its in overall good physical shape.. but 2 of the 4 speakers have silicone in the surround (D'oh!)
but i'm not complaining. it's a good platform to upgrade the speakers if they sound like poop when i turn it up to 11.
I cant find ANY info on these things via google though. oh well.

Well, i know no one realyl cares, but i'm excited. 1. its got enough air movement to be very very loud 2. its a good platform for upgrading and minor modding without feeling guilty. and... i have an upright panio that's the same colour as that bar stool.

Well, I don't own one, but my guitar instructor has a 2 channel 2X12 (I'm guessing there) Yamaha so I play thru it weekly during lessons. Has a great clean channel and the gain channel is decent enough. Probably the best-sounded SS amp I've ever used.
