I'm going to take a long shot and assume Proboards does not host images far beyond custom avatars. Therefore, you will be needing to upload your images to another webspace and img tag them from here! I personally reccommend www.photobucket.com. It has a very hassle-free signup, and user-friendly interface, which generates cut-and-pasteable lines of HTML and URLS for you to use for each of your uploaded images. Important! As some of you may have noticed, Proboards sports it's own slightly different version of HTML. Instead of the traditional <>s, Proboards surrounds tags with []. Most common tasks that can be done inside a message can be located as buttons above the smiley bar and below the subject bar. The "post image" button should throw a little template into your text box, where you insert the url of your intended image between the tags. Note: The third line of cut and paste code in Photobucket is preformatted to Proboards standards! Just put that line wherever you want your image and you're done! Please PM me, RandomHero, if you encounter any difficulties or have any other questions regarding image posting.

Well hey..... I might as well get in the game too. Since RandomHero's initial post, the Forum Software package has been upgraded with a nifty feature. Instead of clicking the Red Dot first, then pasting (or typing) the text of your link between the two tags, you can paste (or type) first, then highlight that line, then click the Red Dot. Presto! your link is now an image that will show up just fine. One thing to be aware of, though.......... The tag does not have a size modifier. ( EDIT: That's changed - see the post below this one.) The Administration asks, politely, that you keep your images down to 800 pixels in width. That's not hard and fast, you can squeeze in a few more pixels if needed, but beyond that, you might find your post edited by a Moderator to down-size it. One final item.... If you need further help, you can send a PM to any of the Staff members. Thanks, and hope that this all helped! sumgai

The crack team of developers at ProBoards have added a feature that was heretofore unavailable and made editing image size from the tags impossible. Now there is a trick to resizing an image on the board without having to "Photoshop" it. Inside of the first image tag... [img] ...you just need to add a few additional characters to make it resize. Example: Let's say you have an image that measures 1500 x 844 pixels. Way too big for posting on the board. Change your image's opening tags to this: [img width=750 height=422 src=" Then it becomes this size in the browser: i359.photobucket.com/albums/oo40/BlackAngusYoung/MusicRoomOverview005.jpg"] Just preserve the aspect ratio and all is right with the world. Technology marches on. Our software will now automatically display your image in the "correct" size for the board, and will allow the image to be clicked on to enlarge it back to the original size. A script over the image tells you the percentage by which the original image has been reduced.
