Memeory Man Problem HELP!

I own a memory man that starts to make very odd noises when certain things are adjusted. When the delay is turned up on the echo selection it starts to emit a faint but obvious high pitch squeal. Anyone else ever encountered this? Any solutions? Also, alot of "whish" inthe background when blend is turned up. HELP!? Thanks...

that's probably from oscillation, which is sort of like the effect feeding back within itself. it's normal for it to happen on extreme settings w/ delay effects and occurs also w/ flangers, etc. w/ delay it happens when the feedback is cranked
