okay, so I've saved a bit of money, and went to the music store to get a Boss Bass EQ. There, I saw these behringer stompboxes ..
.. So I tested and tried, and I think that the behringer bass eq does its job pretty well - despite of its entire plastic casing, it really performs in par with the Boss.
I decided that I'd buy the behringer instead of the boss, and since I also wanted a compressor/sustainer, I ended up buying the behringer bass eq and compressor/sustainer (of course after another hour of testing/trying).
IMHO, these two things are really bang of the buck. only slight difference than Boss, at 1/3 of the price.
at home, I visited harmony-central, and it seems that these cheap stompboxes has lot of praise (and also lot of curses) from users.
so, what's your opinions ? I'm not talking about only the bass eq and compressor, but all kinds of stompboxes made by behringer.
.. I think it could be useful as a bit of thought, before I (we?) buy another stompbox(es) ..

Lots of praise now. Just wait until they break. They are cheap copies of the Boss circuits they are named after. I have a Boss pedal from the early 1980's and it still works. How's that for reliability...LOL LOL. In the pedal market, it is truly "you get what you pay for". If all you're doing is playing at home with them, they should be ok. Just don't expect them to last at many gigs.
P.S. How's it goin'? I haven't been around lately. Trying to catch up.

I said, lots of praises AND curses  . there are already much breakage at harmony central. ;D .. why I bought those, simply because : - they're cheap. - their circuit (at least most people say) are boss copies - i can do soldering - epoxy steel is really great on broken plastics I think I've gone a bit freaky here XD it's going fine, nothing special .. the electronics & wiring is the most crowded part, as usual . .. should I say .. welcome back ? ;D

LOL. I'm not surprised about the breakage...LOL. They can be re-housed easily enough. The fun part is the dang switching. If it's the JFET flip-flop type like Boss uses, that can be tricky. Thanks for the welcome back. . I'm trying to get my frankenstrat back up and running. Needs new tuners and I have a DiMarzio PAF on the way from a friend of mine. That'll go in the bridge with a Duncan APS-1 in the neck. Volume, Tone, 3-way switch. It used to be dual buckers (JB/Jazz) but I sold the JB and put the Jazz in my LP. Just need the pickguard and tuners.
