I haven't gotten a guitar equivalent, so I'm not sure if the same magic would appear, but this multi-effect pedal had one "feature" that, to this day, I continue to try to reclaim. It has a delay/etc., EQ, distortion, and a limiter. Pic here: www.angelfire.com/music/TheBassAcesKISSpage/images/BE-5B.jpg(that's not my site, just some other dude's) So, everything is just OK in that pedal, but we were young and adventuresome, so we tried maxing out the delay and distortion sections to see what we'd get. What we got was AWESOME! When you'd hit the strings, you'd get a thick buzzed note (from the distortion). But then, like a half second later, you't get this burp of noise that sounded like it was straight out of a sci-fi horror movie...unbelievably cool! at least I always thought so :-) Check this out: www.lethargytartare.com/sfx/singles/hurlyburly.mp3that's it. My brother, buddy and I recorded that in a fit of ridiculousness...just sitting around being goofy. So you can pick out the guitar easily enough, and the vocals, of course. Everything else is the bass. I still love it! That recording is from '91 or '92. So recently I got my hands on another of those pedals (the original belonged to another friend who sold it back in the day). ROCK! But then I took it to a recording session, and somewhere on the way home it must have gotten whacked because now the delay section doesn't work at all :-( the rest works fine, but the whole mojo of this pedal, for me, is in that delay section... So, needless to say, I'm back on the market for one of these... A close second is my DIY Ugly Face...that falls into the "freakin' amazing noise" category... ltt

That's pretty cool/weird/up my alley. Maybe I'll grab one some day.
