I love my new Crate VC 508 but I gots to have some 'verb on it. Luckily the line out jack doubles as a fx loop with a y adapter.
I don't need nuthin' fancy but something warm and old sounding for my room rock sessions
I was going to just drop a few bucks ($30) on a Danelectro BLT Slap Echo Mini pedal which gets really good reviews from the geeks at guitar (um..) geeks.
Anyone have any other suggestions? Yeah I know EHX holy Grail...

No Dano. It will break when you step on it. Much less stomp.

I hear ya..I know the plastic casing isn't made for stomping..
BUT I don't really plan on stomping on it per se, I mean I basically am gonna want reverb ALL the time...and when I don't I'll prolly just pick the pedal up and press the button anyway. I have to connect it with a short Y mono to stereo adaptor cable through the line out on the VC508 so it's really going to be like an external free-floating "onboard" effect which will prolly just sit ontop of the amp anyway.
I'm just jammin' in the ol' bedroom ya see...
I guess I really don't need a reply to my original post seeing as how I alreeady kinda made up my mind to get a cheap yet vintage sounding mini stomp box that I won't stomp on.
Thanks anyway RH! and Happy birthday.

I have in the past used my Boss digital delay as a reverb unit.

It's not even that! I've had a few Danos, and the casing never broke. The electronics inside, however...

Boss is a good all-round choice. DD3 or RV3 is more than enough, I think.

I happen to think BOSS reverb units suck. IMHO Don't get me wrong, I love BOSS pedals. For some reason I just don't like the sounds of their reverb. Plus I've heard many a horror story of them going out in all maner of nasty gig ruining ways. The EH holy grail is a great choice, espicially for the price. Of course nothing comes close to beating a -real- fender tube reverb unit. Just make sure you place the reverb (and delay) -after- distortion (seems like you already knew this) Of course if you have a room in your house that has wood floors you may consider playing in there. Nothing beats "real" reverb

I'd go for a small rack unit. Tried to find an old Boss micro series. In my opinion and delay pedal just doesn't substitute for reverb - no early or late reflections - just repitition and speed. Even Behringer (eeek) does some good reverbs with there DSP technology. And cheap too

The EH Holier & Holiest Grail pedals are amazing sounding reverbs, the best i've ever used...I had a Vibro King and an old Fender '63 reverb unit, but the EH Grail pedals sounded so much better to me!!! More options and adjustability. Not exactly cheap, but well worth it if you want a quality reverb.

So I guess I could say while shes was visiting family, having a good time, I was lonely! I needed something to occupy me during those hours of solitude *sidenote* My daughter is here, and my Dad moved in with us a while back, but for all intents and purposes Im soooo alone! *sniff* I think shed want me to be happy....No?....Im terrible I know.

I use a korg drv-1000. Its a rack reverb, but its some of the best reverb you can find for the price. I got mine for $40 dollars shipped. They're fairly rare but check ebay. I definitely think tis the best 'verb for the money.
Lots of 'verb options reverse, gated, hall, spring, and with a footswitch it has the option of a "long" switch which allows you to just go straight from your current setting to the longest setting.
