dunk, I really don't recommend expensive combo units. I think you'd better get a few stompboxes that really suit your needs, a Digitech Whammy, and a good wah pedal. The total cost will be nearly the same, $400.
Just a humble opinion.

I have a digitech RP50 and it is fine for me. It has 40 Pre set effect and another 40 toset your self, Internal Tuner and Drum Machine.

Hi, may i join? i have a digitech too, it was GNX2. IMHO it has a good clean sound, but the distortion sound was really dull, especially at the low freq (Bass freq). I've tried all of the amp models, stompbox models, and also tweaked the EQ so many times, but it still sound mudd. I can't get the "jhung-jhung-jheet" (the metal punch sound, or what-you-name-it ), it's always sounded like "jhep-jhep"...??!!! i don't know, i can't tell it...it's very dull & mudd. At first i thought it was because my cheap headphone, but when i tried it in the rent studio, using the Marshall JCM900 amp, it was sounded better because of the amp, but it was still muddy & lack of punch. few months later, i bought Digitech Grunge. I connect it direct to the amp and i can get the punch i want (raaaawwwwk!!!), but when i loop it with GNX2 (Guitar-->Grunge-->GNX2-->JCM900 Amp), it's sound dull again. What happened? Is it because the lack of digital fxs (i.e. bad sampling), or it's because my unit was broken or something? any opions? thx. GBU.

I have an RP200 and really like it. I know it's not a GNX3 but my point will apply to both. the selector switches stop working from time to time and I have to go in and fix things. So far it's only been simple stuff like adding length to the peg that engages the footswitch inside. Thing is when it goes bad, if I only had the RP 200, then my entire board would be down until I get it repaired, while with pedals you disconnect the bad one until you get it fixed and if it can't be fixed then the replacement isn't that expensive.
