Black Finger Compressor

I have been checking out compressors online. I have really taken a shine to the electro harmonex....I think I spelled it right?

I saw a liitle clip of it being used online. It sounded great...but, I never saw it being used, using high gain.

What does it do for the sound using medium to high gain?
It was a little pricey too. Almost $300 CDN.

bound to be expensive / overpriced. it has valves.
