I would like some input from my mates!
I have tried to get a Rotosphere for that " Leslie" sound. Forget it!...They are either out of stock or not carried.
I have a Chorus pedal....anyone have any suggestions to make my chorus pedal leslie-esque?...I know its not the same, but anything would be helpful.

Blue,
one of the things a Leslie does that you won't be able to recreate, is the reflections that you will get from various parts of the room as the baffle/horns turn.
but there is a way that you get a much bigger sound from a chorus.
2 amps.
space them at least 3 feet apart.
the mix that goes to one should be 0~25% chorus 75~100% straight.
the second amp gets 75~100% chorus, 0~100% straight
for narrow spacing, just use 100% straight on one, and 100% chorus on the second.
wider spacing will sound better with a little blend.
this works well with delay too.

I always found that a phase shifer (phaser) had a closer sound to a Leslie than a chorus. Just my 2 pence.

hey Ron, that's more like 5 pence.
while i think a chorus is a little more convincing on clean sounds, a phase shifter is MUCH better on dirty stuff.

Try a Line6 RotoMachine. A real good simulation for the money. Sounds very nice in mono, but (naturally) even better in stereo with 2 amps. Has settings to mimic 2 Leslie models and a Fender Vibratone. I love mine.

Guitartech.... I found my solution a little while ago. I tried out the BossRT20 rotary simulator...I loved it and bought one. I bought an expression pedal as well that goes hand in hand with the RT20. I can adjust it to get some great Leslie sounds ie. Badge, Abbey Road, but I can also set it to have great chorus sounds. I no longer use my Ibanez BC9 chorus pedal. With just a little foot twist on the expression pedal im right where I want to be. Check it out, its great!
