I have seen a lot of ads for the BBE Sonic Stomp. I was a little leary of a unit that claimed to be so revolutionary, but there were a lot of positive reviews. Their literature claims that the unit cleans up the phase and amplitude distortion or "envelope distortion" inherent in all instrument - amplifier - speaker configurations. I figured for a little under $100, why not try it out? I think this thing REALLY works! It was really easy to dial in, and had immediate improving results. My LP played totally clean just sounded so much "crisper." The test for me was kicking in the Tube Screamer, and just playing some basic chord patterns. With the BBE turned on, there was much more clarity in each individual string, and the natural harmonics just shimmered! I am sold. Has anyone else tried it?

I've got one. It kindof lost it's place in my signal chain once I bought my GNX4, but I agree totally on the effects. I added it to my Crate's effects loops and it was like it turned it into another amp! It was suddenly so rich and full and chunky on the gain. It made the Crate's original sounds (which I bought it for) sound like a cheap radio!!
Definitely worth adding to any setup where you can find a place for it.
