I have resonator guitar that has a passive pickup on the cone itself to amplify the cone wired to its own jack.
I have a lipstick up by the neck for when I'm doing a lot of sliding.
I need to boost the signal from the cone and control the volume too.
So is there a good pedal that will accomplish this? I've looked at the dunlops and there seems to be a passive pedal and one that is active with a 9v battery.
I'm not really looking for distortion just gain and volume control.
Thanks in advance all input will be appreciated.

For my banjo pickup, I use an MXR microamp and a Danelectro Fish & Chips EQ. The EQ is always on, for a little sound shaping and overall volume. The microamp is for solo boosts.
You need something active -- a passive control will reduce volume, but not increase it. An active volume pedal could do the trick, provided you can easily set the minimum volume to be loud enough.

The Barber Launch Pad is the cleanest volume boost I've used. Gives you up to around 20dB boost with the volume control, and acts as a buffer for your hi-impedance passive pickup, (so you can run longer cables after the pedal, etc). check it out at: barberelectronics.com/LaunchPad.htmAnd his TonePress compressor is pretty amazing as well, it allows you to dial in the combination of bypass (clean) and compressed signals for maintaining your attack. Barber's pedals are basically boutique quality and sound at regular prices. I own 5 of them- retired or sold most of my other pedals. Check out the Barber pedal forum at www.tpngear.com/forumNo, I'm not associated with Barber in any way. Just a very picky and very happy user. Lou

I would use a FET preamp pedal to boost up your level and get out of high impedance and into low impedance land, followed by a passive volume pedal, then into your mixer as normal...

Don't skimp on a good booster, or go for one of those "boutique" vintage jobbers if yr looking for clean volume. FET preamp pedals work really well and don't add too much noise. It's hard to amplify a cone piezo - I still haven't found a good preamp for my Liberty Resonator after five years!
