Folks, First, I'm not sure whether this should be here or over in wiring. So, the moderator, feel free to move it if need be. I have in my possession a Sans Amp Classic, that I am trying to fix. It works OK , but when you aren't playing anything, it makes a Very loud noise. Static like, almost a sound like someone rubbing their fingers over a microphone. I have looked all over the place on the 'net for schematics and all I can find is the SansAmp GT2 or the PSA-1. No info on the Classic. The signal goes in ok, into a small PCB with a transistor and some caps and the switch for LEAD, NORMAL and BASS. I can trace the signal to a wire that goes to another PCB with the DIP switches and some other stuff. Unfortunately, all the other stuff is micro sized and covered with a black substance (epoxy of some sort) and layered between two very thin pieces of ceramic material. I can look at the signal on the Presence Drive pot, the Amplifier Drive pot and High pot and it appears clean. Not sure as the signal is small. But when I look at the signal on the Output pot, it's noisy. (plus I can hear it ) Anyone with an knowledge they can share on this, I'd be endebted to you for a long while. Thanks in advance! Andy
