I tried a search for Flextone and nothing came up. I GOTTA know where to get one of these things!
I was in Nashville over the weekend. We were at B.B.King's Blues Club and the band ( The BB King all Stars) was , well, exceptional!!
The guitar player was playing through an effects/distortion box, that was approx. 6, maybe 8 inches long, 4 inches wide and about 1 inch thick. It had bright blue LEDs and two footswitches. (ok, maybe 3)
He was playing that through a very small HiWatt. It had probably 1 ten inch speaker. The tones he was getting were everything from clean & sparkling for funk (think Tower of Power) to smooth distortion of Alman Brothers.
The name I thought I saw (remember, I was looking at it from the dance floor) was Flextone. All I can come up with on Internet searches for Flextone or Flexitone is Line 6 stuff.
A couple of guys at the music store I've been doing some work at say they've heard of them, but can't find anything about them either.
Anyone have any info on this pedal?

Close but no....This was almost all Blue, with white letters. Real sure it had just Flextone on it and at least three really bright, blue LEDs. Not a lot of knobs, either.
I'm STILL asking around and searching. I'm trying to find the guys name in the band since they intro'd him and mentioned he had a CD out. He may have been a guest player since the band , on the website, mentioned only one guitarist.

leaddie, Could have been a custom-made jobbie...... Looks like some leg-work is in order. Tracking this guy down shouldn't be too difficult, I imagine, but it all depends on how much time and effort you can devote to the process. The club will very likely know who the player is (was, for that night), so that's a good place for your second dive into detective work. (The website being the first, and sadly ineffective.) Good luck! sumgai

Found an e-mail address to send to for info. I just sent a message asking about the guy. I remember they mentioned he had just released a CD, too. So I asked about that, also.
Keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
Of course, it will probably be one of those boutique pedals that cost around $400 or so!!! That would be a bummer!!
I'll keep you posted.

What equipment sounds good when someone else is playing and what equipment sounds good when you are playing often turn out to be very different. I'm just sayin'.

Ok, I haven't heard from the folks at BB Kings club yet, BUT!!! I think I found the pedal. I may have been off with the name since I was looking at it upside down and it was sort of dark. I think it was this....... www.carlmartin.com/product%20plexitone.htm The Plexitone, by Carl Martin. Not 100% sure, only about 98%, but the 3 LEDs and the 3 switches and the dark case, same dimensions. And Blank... Yeh, I'm keeping that in mind, too. This pedal costs around $210. And he was going through a small HiWatt. And playing two strat, so I don't know what pups he had in the strats. But, If I can try one of these....well, All I can say is his tone for the two long sets we heard was just sweet!!
