does anyone but me use this? I got it used in the late 90's from a store for i think $80CND. this was after i tried everything in my price range between two stores.
I like it, it has some good low end and when the 'face' treble end is turned down to 9 o'clock it is tollerable and seems to work in almost every amp i've thrown it to.
this is an older one. the origonal foot switch did not say DOD on it like the 'newer' ones do.
then they made fx-69B and now digitech version of it. (devision of digitech i know)
does anyone know if there is a difference between the 3 circuits? Mine is on it's last leg (i replaced the switch twice over the years) and when it comes time to replace it, i dont want to have to spend a month on ebay looking for it.
sound wise, it pretty much picks up where the black tubescreamer i have stops. (gain wise, the tone in the tube screamer sounds 'flatter')

jmar, Why wait? Avoid the Christmas rush, and start eBaying now!! Seriously, if one values something, then one should have at least one spare on hand, for just such a scenario as you described. eBay and craigslist are your saviors, and that's the facts, Jack. ;D sumgai

I should rephrase it, whenever i check on ebay every other week for it, the old old ones are never to be seen. It would be great if they were more popular so someone can test the differences between the versions.

If its just the footswitch that keeps going, most of the "brethern" models made arond the same time most likely use the SAME switch.
Post a couple of pics of the switch, maybe others a'board have seen work-alikes elsewhere,
Aside from mounting/terminal footprint and size, a switch is a switch is a switch.

DOD/Digitech make some really great pedals eh. I have a Juice Box which just sounds awesome with My PV Classic. I have my amp gain about half way, for a nice bluesy OD, then kick my Juice Box on when I want more grunt. I use it alot with my Strat bridge SC, and with the 'pulp' at 3 o'clock and the 'tang' at 9'oclock. It fattens up my bridge SC and takes out some of that top end. Man it sounds grunty, I love it. Not a good pedal on it's own (kind of 'boxy'), but perfect as a gain boost, which is what it's designed for. Would not be without it.
I hear the Bad Monkey is really good too. These guys make some surprisingly good stuff for a cheapy company.
